Radiotherapy Department – new opportunities in the treatment of patients
Exactly six months ago, the Department of radiotherapy started working at the MCSC named after A.S. Loginov, opening up new ways in the treatment of patients. Our center is equipped with modern equipment for all types of radiation therapy with the most accurate guidance, which allows minimally injuring healthy tissues and reducing the number of complications.
During these 6 months:
- about 1,000 patients underwent radiation treatment;
- About 18,000 radiotherapy sessions were conducted.
The radiotherapy department of MCSC today is:
- 3 state-of-the-art linear accelerators and a system for brachytherapy;
- treatment of about 270 patients daily;
- specialists whose experience is recognized not only in Russia, but also in world medicine: 10 doctors, including 4 candidates of medical sciences and 1 doctor of medical sciences.
New opportunities have allowed us to organize a full cycle of oncological treatment of patients on the basis of one hospital – from diagnostics and all methods of treatment to dispensary observation.
