Modern Endocrine surgery (36 hours)
Relevance.
Currently, endocrine surgery is actively developing as a separate surgical specialty. Recent research in the field of surgery of the thyroid gland, parathyroid glands, and adrenal glands allows us to significantly standardize therapeutic and diagnostic approaches and surgical treatment. However, modern standardized methods are still not widely used, and in some cases remain uncertain. In addition, completely new, minimally invasive methods of surgical operations on the adrenal and thyroid glands (video-assisted, video-endoscopic and robot-assisted operations on the thyroid gland, laparoscopic and robot-assisted operations on the adrenal glands) have been proposed, which have not yet occupied their niche and are a field for clinical research.
As part of the course, we:
- Let's analyze the modern principles of diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the thyroid gland, parathyroid glands, and adrenal glands.
- We will study the possibilities of fine-needle aspiration puncture biopsy of the thyroid gland.
- We will explore the possibilities of using the TIRADS and Bethesda system for reporting thyroid cytopathology scales in the clinic.
- We will study in detail the features of surgical operations for benign diseases of the thyroid gland and cancer of the thyroid gland, parathyroid glands, diseases and tumors of the adrenal glands.
- Let's analyze the principles of prevention of complications in surgical treatment.
- We will analyze modern algorithms for the examination of patients with diseases and tumors of the adrenal glands, current methods of surgical treatment.
- We will determine the role of minimally invasive video-assisted, video-endoscopic and robot-assisted operations in diseases of the thyroid gland, parathyroid glands and adrenal glands.
