Laparoscopic and robotassisted surgery in the treatment of kidney cancer (18 hours)
Relevance: In the last decade, there has been an increase in the incidence of kidney cancer. According to various studies, kidney cancer accounts for 2 to 3% of all oncological diseases and is on the 8th place in men and on the 11th place in women among oncological diseases. Increasingly, minimally invasive methods of kidney resection are used in the treatment of kidney cancer. When comparing laparoscopic resection and robotic resection using the Da Vinci Si system, it was found that the use of robotic technology is the preferred method for resecting kidney tumors of medium and high degrees of complexity (according to the R. E. N. A. L. scale) by reducing the time of thermal ischemia and providing reliable oncological results.
As part of the course, we:
- we will analyze the principles of modern diagnosis and treatment of kidney cancer, determine the role of laparoscopic and robotic surgery in the treatment of kidney cancer.
- we will study the indications, contraindications and technical aspects of laparoscopic nephrectomy with an analysis of the prevention of possible complications.
- we will study the indications, contraindications and technical aspects of laparoscopic kidney resection with an analysis of the prevention of possible complications.
- we will study the indications, contraindications and technical aspects of robotassisted kidney resection with an analysis of the prevention of possible complications.
