Laparoscopic and robotic assisted surgery in the treatment of prostate cancer (18 hours)

Relevance: Today, there is an increase in the prevalence of prostate cancer in many countries around the world. In men over 60 years of age, this is the most common malignant neoplasm. Radical prostatectomy is the standard treatment for localized prostate cancer. The introduction of minimally invasive methods of treatment, such as laparoscopic radical prostatectomy and robot-assisted radical prostatectomy, allowed us to achieve good oncological and functional results of treatment.

As part of the course, we:

  1. we will analyze the principles of modern diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer, determine the role of laparoscopic and robotic surgery in the treatment of prostate cancer. 
  2. we will study the indications, contraindications and technical aspects of laparoscopic radical prostatectomy with an analysis of the prevention of possible complications. 
  3. we will study the indications, contraindications and technical aspects of robotic radical prostatectomy with an analysis of the prevention of possible complications.
