X-ray diagnostics of inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the joints and spine (36 hours)

Relevance: X-ray diagnostics of inflammatory diseases of the joints and spine is the most important routine method of studying patients with rheumatological profile. According to the radiography of the joints and spine, it is possible to detect signs indicating active inflammatory processes in the joints, including the spine, and post-inflammatory changes in them. Understanding the X-ray picture of changes in the small joints of the hands and feet allows for the differential diagnosis of diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and arthritis from the group of spondyloarthritis (for example, psoriatic arthritis), psoriatic arthritis and deforming arthrosis of the joints of the hands and feet, as well as gouty arthritis. X-ray examination of the pelvic bones helps to make a clinical diagnosis of spondyloarthritis, and to determine the presence of signs of inflammation in the hip joints, the defeat of which is a factor in an unfavorable prognosis for patients, especially young people.
The difference between inflammatory and degenerative changes according to radiography is necessary for the correct interpretation of the images and, therefore, the correct diagnosis of the clinical practitioner.

Within the framework of the doctors program:

  1. They will study the possibilities of X-ray examination in the diagnosis of inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the joints and spine.
  2. They will master the skills of differential diagnosis of inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the joints and spine.
