—Dear colleagues, the Moscow Society of Medical Geneticists invites you to take part in the Orphan Route conference. The conference is devoted to the discussion of key aspects of diagnosis and therapy of hereditary diseases.
Since 2024, rheumatologists and gastroenterologists have the opportunity to refer their patient to a high-tech molecular genetic study, thanks to the Order of the Moscow City Medical Center No. 659 dated 07/29/2024. Within the framework of this order, specialists, rheumatologists, geneticists, gastroenterologists can evaluate the results of molecular genetic diagnostics, make an accurate diagnosis of hereditary syndrome, autoinflammatory disease, etc., and not only determine therapeutic tactics and strategy, but also assess the risks of complications in this patient. Such a multidisciplinary resource has made it possible to improve the patient's "quality of life" using personalized medicine approaches.
The main objectives of the conference are aimed at solving a number of practical problems: the introduction of selective screening programs for hereditary rheumatological diseases, the possibilities of molecular genetic diagnosis, practical issues of prescribing targeted therapy and medical genetic counseling for the family of a patient with orphan disease.
