August 18 — World Breast Cancer Research Day

News

August 18 is World Breast Cancer Research Day. This day is designed to remind women of the importance of regular examinations, as well as to support the efforts of scientists and doctors working on the creation of innovative methods of diagnosis and treatment of the disease, thanks to which the chances of a full recovery have increased significantly today.

One of the important ways to stay healthy is regular breast cancer screening. This simple procedure helps to identify the disease at an early stage, when treatment is most effective.

The frequency of screening depends on the age of the woman and the presence of risk factors:

  • Age up to 40 years: annual examination by a gynecologist or mammologist, self-examination of the mammary glands monthly (memo on the link: http://mosmammolog.ru/samoobsled ).
  • Age from 40 to 50 years: mammography every 2 years.
  • Age over 50 years: regular mammography 1 time a year.

It is important that women with an increased risk of developing cancer (presence of BRCA1/BRCA2 mutations, family history of the disease, etc.) are recommended to start regular checkups and diagnosis earlier, sometimes even from 30-35 years old, and also undergo examination more often.

In the Mammological Center MCSC named after A.S. Loginov, our specialists have accumulated extensive experience in diagnosing and treating even the most difficult cases of this disease.

Patients can undergo a comprehensive examination by a mammologist, which will allow them to receive the full range of necessary care within 1 day.

The Check-Up program includes:

  • Ultrasound of the mammary glands and regional lymph nodes;
  • digital mammography;
  • consultation of an oncologist-mammologist.

Detailed information about the Check-Up programs of the Mammological Center MCSC and an appointment with a specialist by phone +7 (495) 304-30-39.

Be healthy and take care of yourself!
