NewsThe cancer center of the Kaliningrad region hosted the interregional conference "Screening of colon diseases. Principles of qualitative diagnosis and treatment". The event brought together endoscopists, oncologists, coloproctologists, primary care physicians, laboratory diagnostics doctors, as well as organizers of the healthcare system of the Kaliningrad region.
One of the key points of the program was the discussion of the importance of the regional colorectal cancer screening program in the Kaliningrad region.
Head of the endoscopic center MCSC named after A.S. Loginov Taras Shchedlovsky shared his experience in organizing the work of the center in Moscow.
The MCSC Endoscopic Center is part of the city's program for the prevention of cancer, as well as pathologies that precede the development of oncology. Every day we perform up to 140 endoscopic examinations and operations in patients with suspected or already diagnosed diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.
The conference ended with a discussion of further steps to implement a regional colorectal cancer screening program in the Kaliningrad region and confirmed that timely screening is the key to early detection of cancer and their successful treatment.
