March 4 — World Obesity Day

News

Today is an excellent occasion to remind you once again: obesity is not only a matter of appearance, but a serious health problem that affects the duration and quality of life.

The number of overweight people is growing all over the world. Often the problem begins in childhood: in developed countries, about 25% of adolescents are overweight, and 15% are obese. At the same time, excess weight often passes into adulthood.

Work, stress, taking care of the family, endless attempts at diets — and the solution of the problem is postponed for years. And along with excess weight, diabetes, hypertension, heart and joint diseases often come.

Many people read about bariatric surgery, patient histories and results after operations, but still do not dare to ask their questions to the doctor personally:

  • ❓will the stomach stretch after surgery?
  • ❓will it be possible to lose weight?
  • ❓what are the possible consequences?
  • ❓how will life and nutrition change?

Therefore, specialists of the Bariatric Surgery Center MCSC named after A.S. Loginov organized a live meeting where you can calmly discuss all issues, talk with doctors, a psychologist and people who have already passed this way.

Sometimes one conversation helps to understand better than dozens of posts.

Take care of your health — reducing excess weight helps to maintain an active and fulfilling life for many years to come.
