Breast cancer. MCSC patient's review
NewsToday we are telling the story of our patient Larisa, who has been observed and treated at the MCSC named after A.S. Loginov for more than 13 years.
She faced her diagnosis back in 2012. Thorough examinations determined the pathology - breast cancer. The consultation of our doctors immediately prescribed her a comprehensive treatment: chemotherapy, radiation and targeted therapy, surgery.
When the treatment was left behind, it seemed that the disease had let go, but a year later, oncologists found metastases and the treatment had to be repeated. And three years later they found metastases in the head.
As soon as Larisa had thoughts of giving up, fortunately, the Association of Cancer patients "Hello" appeared in her life, which comprehensively helps people who have been diagnosed with cancer. Here she found not only the support of psychologists, but also found new friends.
Now, Larisa's everyday life has become much brighter – with other patients, she began to regularly attend movies and theaters, swimming and dancing classes, practice art therapy, and even participated in screenings in the Kremlin. Communication helped her to distract herself, find inner support and understand her main motivation - to live for her daughter.
In addition, thanks to the successful selection of treatment by a consultation of leading MCSC experts, Larisa continues her active life with a mood for recovery. She got a new profession and is now successfully developing in it.
Today Larisa continues to be observed in our Center, and also still maintains warm relations with her friends from the Association. Together they rejoice in each other's successes and inspire by their example those who have just encountered a frightening disease, proving that life after diagnosis can be bright and intense, and you can not give up even in the most difficult moments.
