Modern possibilities of oncological care: delegation of the Association "Hello!" to the MCSC

News

On May 16, MCSC named after A.S. Loginov hosted an excursion for the delegation of the All-Russian Association of Cancer Patients "Hello!" as part of the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Association. The delegation included the heads of regional branches of the Association from all over the country, who came to the capital to get acquainted with the modern possibilities of diagnosis and treatment in oncology.

Gurami Yelgujayevich Kvetenadze, Deputy Chief Physician for Oncology, Ph.D., acquainted the participants with the work of the modern multidisciplinary center and showed how the care of cancer patients is organized at all stages of treatment.

The Outpatient Oncology Care Center has become one of the key points of the excursion — a space where every detail is thought out: from comfortable routing and patient support to modern examination, treatment and attentive approach from specialists.

One of the important divisions of the CAOP is a bright and spacious day hospital for 52 places, where all conditions have been created for high-quality and safe antitumor therapy, as well as a modern system of centralized drug dilution has been introduced.Of particular interest was the laboratory unit combining pathomorphological, clinical diagnostic and genetic laboratories. The participants were told in detail about the path of the biomaterial — from admission and preparation to research and issuance of results.

We thank the Association "Hello!" for the visit, warm communication and high appreciation of the work of the MCSC.

Such meetings help to strengthen the interaction of the medical and patient communities for the sake of the main goal — high-quality and affordable medical care.
