May 20 – World Traumatologist's Day
NewsThe World Traumatologist's Day is celebrated annually on May 20.
- It appeared at the beginning of the XXI century on the initiative of the World Health Organization and the International Society of Traumatologists. Professor Philip Hernig proposed to celebrate it at the Congress of the International Association for the Study of Injuries and Orthopedics (IASTO) in 1999.
Today, specialists of the Orthopedics and Complex Trauma department have been working as part of the MCSC for more than 10 years.
The main direction is minimally invasive interventions (arthroscopy) on large joints (knee, shoulder, ankle, elbow), hip and knee replacement, as well as reconstructive surgical interventions for foot deformities, etc.
- In 2025, more than 1100 of our patients received high-tech care in the department.
