NewsA state-of-the-art complex of cancer hospital No. 62 has opened in Skolkovo, with the launch of which the creation of a new seamless framework of the cancer service has been fully completed in the capital. 5 largest city hospitals are integrated into this advanced system: MGOB No. 62, MMCC "Kommunarka", Oncology Center No. 1 of the State Clinical Hospital named after S.S. Yudin, MMSC named after S.P. Botkin and MCSC named after A.S. Loginov, where unique conditions for the treatment of oncological diseases have been created.
They have a full range of clinical opportunities, such as diagnostics, surgical treatment, drug therapy, dispensary observation and others. Residents of one or two administrative districts of Moscow are assigned to each center. They include 9 outpatient oncology care centers (CAOP) with the ability to perform all diagnostic tests necessary to establish or exclude the diagnosis of cancer.
The introduction of the new Moscow oncostandart has already led to significant results:
- 67.8% of cancer cases in the capital are now found in the early stages thanks to digitalization and endoscopic centers.
- Mortality of patients decreased to 11.4% in the first year after diagnosis.
- 74.3% of patients successfully pass the five-year remission milestone and live a full life.
