endoUZI opportunities: MCSC expert's master class in Nalchik
NewsOn July 30-31, the interdisciplinary scientific and practical conference "Clinical Trajectories in interventional gastroenterology: from diagnosis to treatment" was held at the State Clinical Hospital No. 2 (Nalchik). One of the key speakers of the event was the head of the Diagnostic Endoscopy Department of the MCSC named after A.S. Loginov, MD Elena Vladimirovna Parfenchikova. During a master class with a live broadcast from the operating room, she presented a clinical case and demonstrated the possibilities of endoscopic ultrasound.
According to the results of ultrasound and MRI, a malignant formation of the pancreas was suspected in the patient. To clarify the diagnosis, an endoUZI with a fine-needle puncture was performed. The results of the study made it possible to establish an accurate diagnosis: the revealed changes turned out to be a cystic formation formed against the background of long-term pancreatitis.
