MCSC patient history: simultaneous removal of several tumors
NewsToday we are telling the story of our patient Juan, who underwent a major operation to remove several tumors.
In July 2022, a man underwent intestinal resection due to a malignant disease. Two years later, during CT, neoplasms were detected in the left lobe of the liver, the right adrenal gland, as well as a tumor of the left kidney.
For further examination and treatment, the patient applied to the MCSC named after A.S. Loginov, where he underwent a biopsy.

The first stage of treatment was systemic drug therapy, which allowed to reduce the size of tumors and prepare the patient for surgical treatment.
After discussing the case at the oncological consultation, it was decided to perform a one-stage operation with the removal of all identified formations.
The main stage of treatment was a complex one-stage operation. Hepatobiliary surgeons, together with urologists, performed the removal of all identified tumor foci. The operation lasted more than 10 hours and required the coordinated work of a team of specialists.
After the operation, Juan was under the supervision of a multidisciplinary team of specialists. Doctors closely monitored his condition and accompanied him at every stage of recovery.
Rehabilitation was successful, and on the 13th day the patient was discharged home for further outpatient follow-up. He has returned to his usual life, is engaged in everyday activities and feels well.
