In Veliky Novgorod, in clinic No. 1 of the Central City Clinical Hospital, surgeons of the MCSC named after A. S. Loginov shared their experience in laparoscopic hernia removal.
The master class was conducted by the surgeon of the A.S. Loginov MCSC Pavlova branch, Ph.D. Yuri Alexey Viktorovich, who has extensive experience in treating patients with abdominal hernias. He presented a unique technology for the elimination of complex postoperative hernia using the ICG optical control system:
— We have to assemble a "designer" using modern mesh implants in order to restore normal anatomy. The operation is performed without incisions by laparoscopic method. The main advantage is that the patient can be discharged tomorrow. The rehabilitation period is very short," the surgeon explained.
Also, the surgeon of the branch of the MCSC named after A.S. Loginov, Konstantin Yuryevich Shpagin performed an operation using endosurgical equipment and a special mesh. The technology allows performing operations without large incisions, reducing the recovery time of patients.
Surgeons, doctors, residents and students of the Medical Institute of Novgorod State University monitored the progress of the process thanks to the online broadcast in the hall.
In addition to master classes with live surgery, MCSC doctors acted as experts at the XVII International Symposium on Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation:
