Minimally invasive method of obesity treatment. Endoscopic gastroplication

Bariatric surgery is one of the most effective methods of treating obesity today.

  • However, the fear of surgery often becomes a decisive factor in favor of choosing other ways to cope with excess weight.

That is why a minimally invasive technique – endoscopic gastroplication - is actively used in our Center.

This procedure is very similar to conventional gastroscopy: under anesthesia, without incisions, the surgeon sutures the stomach with a special probe.

  • As a result, its volume decreases, the patient wants to eat less, and over time the weight begins to go away.

The surgeon of the Center for Bariatric Surgery MCSC Vinogradov Vladimir Vladimirovich tells in more detail.
