Dynamic angionephroscintigraphy, with the possibility of determining GFR
Dynamic angionephroscintigraphy, with the possibility of determining GFR, is a method of studying the kidneys, allowing to assess the secretory and excretory function of the kidneys.
How to prepare for angionephroscintigraphy:
- the day before the study, limit the intake of strong tea, coffee (coffee drinks), energy drinks;
- a day before the study, you should stop taking diuretics;
- breakfast is required in the morning (exclude coffee!);
- compliance with the drinking regime (drink at least 0.5 liters of non-carbonated / unsweetened water in the morning);
- come to the department in comfortable clothes, if possible, without metal elements (zippers, fasteners, metal buttons, belt, suspenders);
- The study is carried out no earlier than 48 hours after intravenous administration of an iodine-containing radiopaque preparation (CT, urography, etc.).
What documents are needed for angionephroscintigraphy?
On the day of the study you need to have with you:
- passport;
- the original of the MHI policy;
- the results of previous studies in other medical institutions (in the absence of data in the EMIAS system), including conclusions (CT, MRI, ultrasound).
HOW IS THE STUDY GOING?
Conducting the study:
- The total time spent in the department will be at least 30-50 minutes.
- It is necessary to appear at the registry office of the department on the 1st floor of the 1st building sector 1B at the strictly appointed time.
- Immediately before the angionephroscintigraphy, it is necessary to remove the belt, suspenders, and get out of the pockets: coins, lighters, mobile phone, handkerchiefs, then the nurse will lay and mark on the tomograph table.
- The scan is performed in the position of the patient lying on his back, hands behind his head. After laying and marking, RFLP is injected intravenously and the study itself begins at the same time, which takes about 25 minutes. All this time it is necessary to lie motionless on the tomograph table in order to avoid artifacts that may make it difficult or impossible for a radiologist to describe the results of the study.
- After completing the study, you can leave the department.
After conducting the study.
- After the study, you will not pose any danger to others and should not experience any household or other inconveniences, however, within 24 hours after the introduction of the RFP based on [99mTc], the following recommendations must be observed:
- limit close contact with young children and pregnant women.
- If necessary, upon request, on the day of angionephroscintigraphy, a certificate confirming the introduction of RFLP is issued – if on the day of the study you plan to use an intercity bus, railway or air transport.
- The conclusion will be uploaded to the EMIAS system within 1 business day after the angionephroscintigraphy procedure.
