The programs are designed for dynamic observation of patients after bariatric surgery and include laboratory monitoring, as well as instrumental examination methods. Each Check-up program includes a consultation with a therapist at the Bariatric surgery center, where you can ask questions and correct possible deficits.

Why is this important

Examinations after bariatric surgery are vital for early detection and correction of possible complications and deficiencies of nutrients (vitamins, minerals, protein). They help to control the process of adaptation of the body to new conditions, adjust nutrition and supplementation to ensure the long-term success of the operation and prevent health problems, as the body changes forever, requiring lifelong monitoring. 

The main reasons for the need for surveys

• Prevention and detection of complications: regular checks help to notice problems (for example, with the absorption of substances) at an early stage.
• Correction of deficiencies: a decrease in the stomach and / or changes in the intestine lead to a decrease in the absorption of iron, calcium, vitamins and other nutrients. Tests show what is missing and allow you to adjust the intake of vitamin complexes in time.

• Check-up after 3 months: laboratory monitoring, ultrasound of the abdominal cavity, consultation with a general practitioner.
• Check-up after 6 months: laboratory monitoring, ultrasound of the abdominal cavity, consultation with a general practitioner.
• Check-up after 12 months: laboratory monitoring, ultrasound of the abdominal cavity, EGDS, densitometry, consultation with a general practitioner.
