Laboratory of functional diagnostics of diseases of the esophagus and stomach

The laboratory of functional diagnostics of diseases of the esophagus and stomach was established in 2018. The composition of the laboratory: Head of the laboratory, Ph.D. Valitova Helen Robertovna, senior researcher – Ph.D. Berezina Olga Igorevna, junior researcher – Chebotareva Margarita Viktorovna and nurse Novikova Olga Olegovna.

The laboratory carries out scientific research, diagnostic and therapeutic activities using special research methods diseases of the upper gastrointestinal tract (traditional esophageal manometry and high-resolution esophageal manometry, daily pH metric and daily pH impedancometry). Research work on the study of diseases of the esophagus and stomach is carried out jointly with other departments MCSC: Endoscopy Department with Operative endoscopy Department, X-ray Department, Personalized Medicine Center, Pulmonology Department, Department of Endocrine and Metabolic Disorders, Rheumatology Department, Department of High-tech surgery and Surgical endoscopy. The method of studying laryngopharyngeal reflux using a new LFR probe has been introduced into clinical practice. An examination is carried out to identify relapses in patients operated on for achalasia.

Laboratory participation in the training process of residents, gastroenterologists and nursing staff in the framework of NMO programs, additional medical education and residency MCSC. Advanced training courses for gastroenterologists and endoscopists have also been organized for special research methods (daily pH measurement, daily pH impedancometry, esophageal manometry) with subsequent issuance of a certificate.

The main diseases for which research work is being carried out are gastroesophageal reflux disease, esophageal achalasia, esophageal dyskinesia, autoimmune gastritis, gastritis associated with H.pylori, syndromes of the operated stomach and esophagus.
