Semashko Clinical Hospital on the introduction of sophisticated techniques for the treatment of cardia achalasia. This is a rare disease in which the passage of food and fluid through the esophagus into the stomach is disrupted, which leads to weight loss and significantly impairs the quality of life of patients.
Kirill Shishin, head of the Department of Operative Endoscopy at MCSC named after A.S. Loginov, helped a 25-year-old girl return to a full life. The patient was suffering during meals, could not eat in public places, suffered from constant regurgitation, bad breath and pain.
“We have been conducting training in Ulan-Ude for more than one year on the treatment of cardia achalasia. This time, we can say that the master class was of an advanced level. We selected difficult patients who are usually operated on in federal centers, ” said Kirill Shishin, under whose supervision the new method is being introduced.
The development of affordable high-tech medical care in the republic is one of the main goals of RCB specialists who undergo multi-stage training in new techniques and work on modern equipment so that local residents can receive the full amount of assistance on the spot.
