Modern lung cancer surgery: MCSC expert held a master class in Ufa
NewsA conference and a surgical master class dedicated to modern approaches to the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer were held at the Republican Clinical Oncology Dispensary in Ufa.
The surgical master class was conducted by Arif Allahverdiyev, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Head of the Thoracoabdominal Surgery Department of the MCSC named after A.S. Loginov.
During the master class, the patient underwent thoracoscopic pneumonectomy on the left with ipsilateral mediastinal lymph dissection. The operation was performed in a minimally invasive way using 3D equipment - this allows to reduce traumatism and promotes faster recovery.
