Modern coloproctology: the experience of MCSC experts
NewsWhat solutions in complex surgical cases become standards over time? How are robotic technologies changing colon surgery? And where is the boundary between drug therapy and surgery for IBD?
These and other issues were discussed at the Congress of Coloproctologists of Russia, the scientific program of which was attended by specialists of MCSC named after A.S. Loginov:
- Mikhail Aleksandrovich Danilov, Head of the Department of Coloproctology, MD.
- Vyacheslav Afandievich Aliyev, Leading Researcher of the Department of Coloproctology, MD.
Mikhail Alexandrovich spoke in the section "Rectal cancer: surgical aspects" with the report "Complex cases in rectal cancer surgery: lessons that become the standard". The focus is on non—standard clinical situations and surgical experience, which helps to improve approaches to the treatment of patients. He also became an expert in the section "Surgical treatment of IBD". In the brain-ring format, surgeons, gastroenterologists and endoscopists discussed controversial issues of treatment tactics for ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease.
Vyacheslav Afandievich presented a report in the section "Robotic colorectal surgery". His report was devoted to robotic right—sided hemicolectomy with intracorporeal anastomosis, a modern technology for the surgical treatment of colon diseases.
Professional discussion and exchange of experience make it possible to take a fresh look at complex clinical situations and improve approaches to patient treatment.
