Quality of life after pancreatic surgery: patients met with MCSC doctors

Today, a meeting with patients "Quality of life after pancreatic surgery" was held at the MCSC named after A.S. Loginov. The program was designed for patients who have undergone various operations for pancreatic cancer.

The event was attended by leading MCSC specialists in the field of surgical and chemotherapeutic treatment of oncological diseases, gastroenterology, endocrinology, as well as nutritionology.

All participants were able to find out:what types of treatment are possible for pancreatic cancer;

  • features of surgical operations;
  • questions of insulin therapy after pancreatic surgery;
  • about the need for nutritional support in the postoperative period;
  • and much more…

Director of the MCSC named after A.S. Loginov, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Igor Evgenievich Khatkov in his welcoming speech noted the relevance of such meetings and such interaction between doctors and patients: "It is very important for us, doctors and patients, to be together: to have a common understanding of how we act in certain situations, to understand what depends on us, and what is from you. And then we will definitely be able to achieve better results."A presentation and tasting of special food necessary for those who have undergone pancreatic surgery was organized for the guests of the event.

And of course, the participants were able to ask all their questions to our doctors.

Next year we will have even more useful events and interesting discussions.
