Diabetes mellitus. MCSC patient Feedback

Today we are telling the story of our patient Alexander.

He is 22 years old. At the age of 16, he underwent a medical examination at the military enlistment office, where he was found to have a slight increase in blood sugar, but no treatment was prescribed.

At the same time, he followed a strict diet for six months. However, over time I began to feel worse:

  • there was dry skin, frequent thirst, fatigue
  • vision deteriorated
  • my legs began to hurt when walking, passing after stopping and resting

After the examination, the doctors diagnosed type 1 diabetes mellitus and prescribed insulin therapy. But at the same time, he had significant fluctuations in blood glucose levels during the day (from 2 to 15 mmol/l or more).

  • In 2023, he entered the endocrinology department of the Pavlov MCSC branch. Our specialists adjusted the therapy and installed an insulin pump to help maintain normal blood glucose levels.

Today Alexander feels better, follows the recommendations of our doctors and leads an active life.
