New horizons of medicine: clones for organ transplantation
American scientists have figured out how to solve the shortage of donor organs. They propose to create an artificial body ("bodioid") that is genetically identical to the patient, but does not have consciousness. Thanks to this, it will be possible to circumvent the acute ethical contradictions that arise when transplanting organs from living people.
But is it possible with the help of modern technologies to bring such a concept to life right now?
The situation was explained by the head of the human organ and/or Tissue Transplantation Department of the MCSC named after A.S. Loginov, MD Ruslan Bogdanovich Alikhanov together with other experts on the Moscow 24 TV channel.
