Ultrasound diagnostics of diseases of the musculoskeletal system (36 hours)

Relevance. Ultrasound examination of the musculoskeletal system is an informative and accessible diagnostic method - it does not require special training of the patient, has no contraindications and is quite safe. With the help of ultrasound, you can evaluate the structure of muscles, tendons, ligaments, cartilage, synovial membrane, determine the amount and nature of fluid in the joint cavity and joint bags, evaluate the contours of the articular surfaces of bones, as well as evaluate subcutaneous fat, and large nerve fibers. So, ultrasound of the musculoskeletal system allows you to diagnose conditions such as arthritis, bursitis, popliteal cysts, arthrosis, as well as injuries of ligaments, tendons, muscles, in some cases – bone destruction. Under the control of ultrasound, medical and diagnostic punctures of joints and periarticular formations are performed.
Due to its safety, accessibility and high information content, the method of ultrasound diagnostics of the musculoskeletal system has become popular among doctors of various specialties.
