In the treatment of acute and chronic circulatory insufficiency, the leading place is occupied by drugs that increase the contractility of the myocardium and change the tone of peripheral vessels. The most effective of them are catecholamines, the effect of which is manifested by the activation of various subtypes of adrenoreceptors. To properly understand how drugs work, it is necessary to take into account the localization of the main adrenoreceptors and the physiological effects associated with their activation.

As part of the course, we:

1. Repeat the anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology of the cardiovascular system;

2. Consider the methods of assessing the activity of the cardiovascular system;

3. We will get acquainted with the main groups of drugs necessary for the effect on the cardiovascular system, determine the indications and contraindications to certain drugs necessary to maintain adequate CCC indicators;

4. We will study the technical aspects of the administration of drugs by methods (dosages, dilutions, perfusors);

5. Let's analyze the prevention of possible complications with vasopressors and cardiotonics;
