Current aspects of diagnosis and treatment of chronic autoimmune pancreatitis (IgG4-associated disease)
Category of students: doctors of medical specialties (general practitioners, internists, gastroenterologists, surgeons, doctors of ultrasound diagnostics).
Duration: 18 hours
Form of study: full-time
Relevance: the progressive dynamics of interest in the problem of autoimmune pancreatitis (AIP) shows an increase in publications over the past two decades. The features of the etiology, pathogenesis, and course of autoimmune pancreatitis (within the framework of IgG4-associated disease) are discussed. This pathology has features of differential diagnosis and treatment. The prognosis depends on the severity of AIP complications, concomitant lesions of other organs and the presence of diabetes mellitus. Patients with AIP (within the framework of IgG4-associated disease) have an increased risk of developing malignant tumors, approximately 3.5 times higher than in the general population. The risk of malignancy increases with age and in the presence of diabetes. Therefore, timely diagnosis and treatment of AIP is an urgent task.
As part of the program, we:
1. We will study the epidemiological and etiological aspects, pathogenetic mechanisms of the clinical picture of chronic autoimmune pancreatitis, cholangitis.
2. We will study diagnostic methods: biochemical markers, ultrasound, EUS, MSCT, MRPHG in autoimmune pathology of the pancreas, cholangitis.
3. Teach the differential diagnosis between chronic autoimmune pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer.
4. Consider the features of the treatment of chronic autoimmune pancreatitis.
5.During the training, the algorithms of diagnosis and treatment will be presented.
