A 34-year-old patient applied to the MCSC Women's Health Clinic.
- 3 years ago, she noticed changes in her right mammary gland and went to the clinic, where she was found to have an education, but she did not receive any treatment and was not observed in the future.
- However, over the past three months, the patient has noted a significant increase in this formation, which began to bother her.
During the examination, the doctor noted that the right mammary gland was enlarged and deformed due to the presence of a dense and immobile formation that occupied the entire mammary gland.In addition, above the formation, the skin turned red and flaked.
To make an accurate diagnosis, our patient underwent a comprehensive examination: two-energy spectral contrast mammography, ultrasound and trepan biopsy under ultrasound navigation for subsequent laboratory examination.
- The results of the morphological examination confirmed the malignant tumor. According to the decision of the multidisciplinary consultation, the patient underwent surgery.
The result of the histological examination made it possible to make an accurate diagnosis: high-grade sarcoma.Today, the patient continues to be monitored and treated at our center.
Breast sarcoma is a malignant tumor that occurs in only 4% of all malignant neoplasms of the breast.
- It grows rapidly and metastasizes, and with late diagnosis it does not have the most favorable prognosis.The history of our patient shows the importance of regular examination.
