Experience without borders: MCSC specialists at the international course on the diagnosis of salivary gland pathology
NewsIn September 2025, a refresher course was held in Linz (Austria), dedicated to modern methods of diagnosing salivary gland pathology. Doctors of the pathoanatomic department of MCSC named after A.S. Loginov took part in the educational program:
Lectures and master classes were conducted by leading experts in the field of pathomorphology:
- Professor Abbas Agaimy (Germany),
- Professor Alena Skalova (Czech Republic),
- Professor Esther Diana Rossi (Italy).
In total, the course brought together about 80 delegates from 15 countries of the world. The program included a theoretical block and practical exercises with the analysis of complex diagnostic cases.
During the training MCSC specialists:
- knowledge on morphological diagnosis of salivary gland tumors using immunohistochemical and molecular genetic methods has been expanded;
- got access to a digital bank of rare clinical observations;
- We have worked out the skills of interpreting complex morphological patterns.
Participation in the course was an important step in the development of scientific and practical cooperation with the Vincent Academy of Pathology, and also opens up new opportunities for regular professional development of pathomorphologists and remote consultations with international experts.
