Ulcerative colitis. Our patient's story
NewsToday we are telling the story of our patient Artyom, 19 years old, who has been undergoing treatment at the Department of Intestinal Pathology of the MCSC named after A.S. Loginov since last year.
Even 6 years ago, having had covid, he began to worry about severe weakness and frequent stools. With these complaints, he turned to his hospital in Yekaterinburg. There, a diagnosis was established – ulcerative colitis and treatment was carried out. But a few years later, when Artyom came to Moscow to study, he began to have a severe aggravation. First, he turned to a private clinic for help, where he was recommended to consult at the MCSC named after A.S. Loginov, since experienced doctors specializing in this disease work here and there are ample opportunities for diagnosis and individual selection of treatment. He immediately made an appointment with a gastroenterologist.
Artyom was promptly examined at the MCSC and, having confirmed the diagnosis of ulcerative colitis, was promptly hospitalized in the department of intestinal pathology for further treatment.
Thanks to effective therapy, his condition improved, however, the treatment needed to be continued – the patient needs constant monitoring by doctors. Now he is receiving special biological therapy drugs and hopes that after it he will be able to achieve remission.
Artyom expresses his sincere gratitude to our doctors for competent treatment, kind attitude and comfortable environment.
