Ankylosing spondylitis: review of treatment at MCSC

The MCSC patient Serafima Nikolaevna Sergeeva was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis in 2017, her disease proceeds with a fairly high activity:

  • Since 2019, it has been observed in the MCSC named after A.S. Loginov
  • Since 2020, he has been receiving genetically engineered biological therapy

Ankylosing spondylitis or, as it is also called, Ankylosing spondylitis is a chronic disease in which inflammation of the intervertebral joints occurs. A person's mobility of the spine decreases and pain appears in the lumbar region – this greatly restricts movement and over time can lead to the spine completely losing its flexibility.

However, timely diagnosis and treatment, including the use of the latest genetically engineered biological drugs, can stop the development of the disease in the early stages.Today Serafima Nikolaevna feels well, leads an active life and continues to undergo follow-up examinations in our Center.

Serafima Nikolaevna told more about her treatment at MCSC in our video.
