Digital transformation of healthcare in Moscow

Digitalization in all key urban sectors, including healthcare, is one of the main global trends.

  • A single digital platform has been created in Moscow — EMIAS, which has made it possible to create convenient channels of interaction between doctor and patient, as well as between medical specialists, outpatient and inpatient units.
  • Artificial intelligence becomes an assistant to doctors. It has already been implemented and is successfully working in radiation diagnostics.
  • Metropolitan pathomorphologists will be able to make diagnoses faster, and patients will receive a new quality of tumor diagnosis.

So in the laboratory of pathomorphology MCSC named after A.S. Loginov, specialists study not glasses with tissue samples, but their digital images, which are available at any time. This became possible thanks to the digitalization of all laboratories of cancer clinics and their integration into a single network.

Over time, this will help to apply artificial intelligence technologies to search for malignant neoplasms.
