Rhinitis

Among the numerous diseases of the nose and upper respiratory tract, rhinitis is widespread-an inflammation of the mucous membrane, accompanied by a number of unpleasant symptoms (a state of nasal congestion, pronounced edematous phenomena; frequent sneezing; constant mucous discharge from the nose; headache).

Without paying attention to them, the patient is often treated independently with various vasoconstrictive drops.  Over time, drug dependence develops, the nose does not breathe without drops. The disease easily turns into a chronic form and it becomes much more difficult to cope with it.

As a rule, it is extremely difficult to cure chronic rhinitis by conservative methods. Our patients undergo a comprehensive examination, including not only a visual examination of the nasal cavity, but also CT, MRI and radiography of the paranasal sinuses, microscopic examination of the mucosa, blood tests, depending on the nature of the disease. Based on the results of the diagnosis, the specialists of the clinic prescribe treatment-conservative or surgical.

Conservative treatment of rhinitis includes taking medications, nasal showers, and nasal lavage. If the process requires surgical intervention, our specialists resort to using a laser, which allows you to avoid unpleasant consequences and achieve a cure for chronic rhinitis in the shortest possible time.

The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia. Due to the laser action, excess moisture evaporates from the edematous tissues, and the mucosa takes on its natural shape, opening the airways and making it easier to breathe. Due to the coagulation of blood vessels in the area of exposure to the laser beam, the operation takes place without bleeding. As a rule, after the completion of the operation, the patient does not complain of pain, and the next day he can return to his usual way of life, without issuing a sick leave.
