One of the goals of a personalized approach is to select a specific drug for a specific person. In this case, the drug should have the maximum effect with a minimum, and optimally - the absence of side effects.

And here we come to the aid of the possibilities of pharmacogenetics, an actively developing field of medicine.

Pharmacogenetics is the study of the influence of hereditary genetic factors on the action and effects of a drug. 

Thus, in choosing a drug, we can rely not only on the clinical picture, the human condition, but also on basic biological data – that is, on genetics, selecting the treatment regimen that is effective in this particular case.
