Purulent sinusitis

Sinusitis is an inflammation of the mucous membrane of the paranasal sinuses. In the treatment of sinusitis, the doctor has two main tasks-to restore the function of the sinus cusps and to suppress the infection.

How is sinusitis usually treated?

When prescribing broad-spectrum antibiotics, bacterial infection is suppressed and drainage function is restored. The puncture method, which is most often used in our country, as well as long-term drainage methods solve similar problems. When washing the sinus, the pathological secretion is mechanically removed, and the focus of bacterial inflammation in the sinus is medically affected.

How is sinusitis treated in the MCSC?

Yamik-method (method of non-functional treatment of sinusitis) it is based on the principle of "sucking" the contents of the paranasal sinuses through natural openings. The YAMIK method allows with the least trauma, in comparison with a puncture, since a puncture of the sinus wall is not necessary, and the YAMIK catheter is removed to affect directly the OMK zone, thereby contributing to the rapid restoration of functional abilities the anastomosis is not only of the maxillary sinus, but also of the frontal, sphenoid, and latticed labyrinth cells.

Its effectiveness is due to:

  • first, the direct effect of the drug on the mucous membrane of all near the nasal sinuses (SNP);

  • secondly, the possibility of restoring the normal pressure in the SNP;

  • third, the reduction of edema of the nasal mucosa and SNP under the influence of intermittent pressure and, as a result, the normalization of the mucociliary apparatus
