Important information: endoscopic examinations and operations during quarantine

In order to prevent the COVID-19 virus, we have changed the procedure for endoscopic examinations and operations.
During the quarantine period, endoscopic examination is possible if:
- suspicion or presence of cancer
- acute surgical conditions, life-threatening, requiring endoscopic examination to verify the diagnosis and / or treatment (gastrointestinal bleeding, increasing dysphagia of 3-4 degrees, etc.)
During the quarantine period, endoscopic treatment is possible if:
- Gastrointestinal bleeding
- Increasing mechanical jaundice and cholangitis with the inability to implement other methods of treatment
- Increasing dysphagia due to cicatricial and tumor strictures and benign esophageal diseases
- Highly symptomatic benign diseases (bleeding polyps, polyps with infringement, etc.)
- treatment of complications of surgical interventions in resuscitation patients
- operations for verified early cancer of the digestive tract (dissection, resection of the mucosa)
Temporarily restricted:
- Endoscopic interventions for benign diseases that do not threaten the patient's life (gastrointestinal polyps, achalasia, Cenker diverticula, choledocholithiasis, compensated gastrointestinal strictures and anastomoses, etc.)
- Pancratocystogastroanastomoses
- Bariarthric endoscopy
- Endoscopic operations in patients undergoing routine endoscopic multi-stage treatment (duct stenting, augmentation, etc.).)
Temporarily canceled:
- Routine diagnostic tests
- All screening tests, including cancer screening
- Research within the framework of scientific protocols
- Studies within the framework of postoperative follow-up protocols (follow up)
- Studies in the framework of follow-up protocols for patients without surgery (Barrett's esophagus, atrophic gastritis, etc.)
- Endosonography, except for situations involving the treatment of acute surgical diseases
Outpatient endoscopic examinations in the MCSC will be performed only after the initial consultation with the doctor of the BWW.
