The MCSC expert conducted a demonstration operation for colleagues in Tula
NewsOn April 25, a master class "Modern possibilities of lung cancer treatment" was held at the Tula Cancer Center.
Arif Kerimovich Allahverdiyev, MD, Professor, Head of the Thoracoabdominal Surgery Department of the MCSC named after A.S. Loginov, shared his long-term experience in the treatment of lung malignancies. Also, the leading surgeon performed an indicative operation for colleagues - endoscopic lobectomy with lymph dissection for a patient diagnosed with stage I peripheral lung cancer of the left lung.
The intervention was performed using a minimally invasive and low–traumatic method - through 4 accesses without incisions.
"The advantage of such operations is that the rehabilitation period is shortened and the quality of life of patients is improved. Respiratory function is restored faster, pain syndrome is leveled almost completely," the surgeon noted.
