MCSC gastroenterology experts at conferences in Serbia and Japan
NewsSeptember 2026 has become really eventful for the experts of our Center: two major international platforms at once, more than 40 participating countries and publications of new scientific ideas.
First, Belgrade (Serbia). The 39th seminar of the European Group for the Study of Helicobacter and Microbiota (EHMSG) was held there.
- This is one of the most authoritative events for those involved in the study of H. pylori infection and microbiota. The format helped to unite clinicians and scientists.
MCSC specialists presented 7 poster presentations at the conference. Our experts — Dmitry Stanislavovich Bordin, Karine Akselevna Nikolskaya and Margarita Viktorovna Chebotareva — shared data on the epidemiology, diagnosis and treatment of H. pylori.
- Special attention at the seminar was paid to complex and promising topics: epigenetics of H. pylori strains (in order to more accurately assess the risks of carcinogenesis), the use of artificial intelligence in endoscopy and pathomorphology for early detection of precancerous changes, as well as the search for new approaches to therapy taking into account the growing resistance of bacteria to antibiotics.
Next – Kyoto (Japan). The 22nd World Congress on Esophageal Diseases (ISDE) was held there — another key platform for leading specialists -gastroenterologists, surgeons, oncologists and pathologists from all over the world. And Helen Robertovna Valitova joined the team from Belgrade.
Our colleagues presented 6 poster presentations, and 2 of them were moderated with oral presentation.
- The focus is on gastroesophageal reflux disease, diffuse esophagospasm and epiphrenal diverticula of the esophagus: our scientists have shown how the condition of the gastric mucosa affects the course of these diseases and the choice of treatment tactics.
Such events are a great opportunity to exchange experiences, share results and explore new scientific horizons!
