Pregnancy planning with a geneticist. Says the MCSC expert

Often, when planning a pregnancy, expectant parents have many questions:

  • how to properly assess the possible risks of developing pathology in a child?
  • how to find out the degree of risk of genetic diseases in the fetus if the first child or another relative is sick in the family?
  • what diseases are considered genetic in general?

The geneticist of the MCSC Center for Personalized Medicine, Tatyana Ivanovna Yanova, answered these and many other questions.
