Our experts made presentations and participated in the development of a new consensus

On September 4-7, 2019, the next annual congress of the Asia-Pacific Division of the International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (A-PHPBA) was held in Seoul, South Korea.

Specialists of the MCSC named after A. S. Loginov took part in the congress with oral and poster presentations, including foreign experts (international faculty) invited to develop another consensus on the development of laparoscopic liver resection technology in the Asia-Pacific region.

MCSC MCSC Head of the Department of Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery, Prof. M. G. Efanov presented the experience of MCSC in the application of original technologies and minimally invasive access (robot-assisted operations) in the radical treatment of portal cholangiocarcinoma (Klatskin's tumor), and also demonstrated the results of the analysis of our center's experience concerning other topical issues, including laparoscopic resections of the most inaccessible segments of the liver, the prognosis of the risk of postoperative liver failure after extensive resections in patients with Klatskin's tumor, etc.

The presentations of our specialists aroused great interest among the participants of the congress. One of the reports was nominated in the Best Oral section.
