MCSC specialist at the Commonwealth Without Borders Forum
NewsOn October 27-28, the first Eurasian forum on the diagnosis and treatment of orphan diseases "Commonwealth without Borders" was held, which takes place in a mixed format – face-to-face in Moscow and Almaty, as well as online.
The panel discussion "Ethical and psychological aspects of medical genetic counseling" was attended by the expert of our Center Bodunova Natalia Alexandrovna, Ph.D., Head of the Center for Personalized Medicine, Board member of the Medical Society of Medical Geneticists, gastroenterologist.
During the discussion, the problems of communicating information about the positive results of genetic testing, as well as providing psychological support to people who have identified mutations that can lead to hereditary diseases, were discussed.
