International DNA Day is celebrated on April 25.Exactly 70 years ago, in 1953, scientists James Watson, Francis Crick, Maurice Wilkins and Rosalind Franklin in the journal Nature first published the results of a study of the structure of the DNA molecule.

For this discovery, scientists were awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1962.
